Busy

I feel like i haven't blogged in a while when in fact it's only been two days. Anyway, i haven't been up to much really. I received my mid-year report on Tuesday and even though i already knew all my marks (because i calculated them) and all my ranks except for English, i was still pretty disappointed in myself after i saw the marks on paper. What's even more depressing is that my Legal Studies teacher wrote that she was disappointed that my mark and rank dropped )'; I really hope i'm able to redeem myself *sigh*.

Yesterday i went to the Chartered Accountants Cadetship Evening at the Sydney Convention Centre in Darling Harbour straight after school. I wasn't planning to attend at first but then i changed my mind and i'm really glad that i did end up going. There were so many year 12 students there and it was a little suffocating but i still think it was worth it. Mwahaha good thing i wore my black oxford heels so less people were stealing my air, though my feet were kind of burning by the end of the night from so much standing. In case you're thinking that it doesn't make sense, i changed out of my uniform. The sessions to hear the speakers were split in two and some people (including us) were trading sheets with random people so they could be together with their friends. My friends and i were in the second session so we had to go to the display room first with all the stalls from numerous firms and staff to answer any questions. Some people were genuinely interested but others were just snagging freebies haha. I had a coat because i thought it'd be really cold during the night but i ended up holding it (with my arm like a butler) for most of the night because it wasn't even cold and along with all the booklets i had collected, i felt like my arm was going to fall off. It actually still hurts now. After sitting down to listen to the speakers we went for food and by the time i got home it was past 9. I was so exhausted i went to sleep at 11 (quite early for me, especially since i've been sleeping at around 1:30 lately).

After attending the Cadetship Evening, i'm a lot more interested in applying for cadetships but to be honest, i don't think that they'd accept me since i don't really have much of what they're looking for as of now. E.g. participation at school and in the community, leadership skills, work experience, adequate marks etc. I'm thinking about applying next year instead since they also accept first year university students for cadeships/trainee programs. Maybe i'll be more worthy by then *laughs*. Getting accepted by PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers), Ernst & Young or KPMG would be a dream come true.

Exams are looming close again. It feels all too soon );
Hehe i have so many things to wait for in the mail. I wish they could all magically appear on my doorstep tomorrow morning.
