Red Shield Appeal

I'm so dead tired right now from doing the Red Shield Appeal this morning. My group got assigned a looong road full of units and we had to walk up and down so many stairs. Not to mention some of them were dark and creepy ); By the time we got back (3.5 hours later) there weren't even any other groups there any more. I think we were the last group. Even though it took so long and was physically draining, it was satisfying to know that we collected $287 in donations! Hehe aren't we awesome? ;D

Anyway, i have a Legal Studies exam tomorrow!
So i shall be disappearing now *waves*.

I miss the sunshine

Today was quite a nice day. I had a free period last so i could've left at the beginning of lunch but there was a meeting for those who wanted to join the yearbook committee :D I thought it sounded fun and i wanted to participate in something for once so i decided to join. After the meeting i walked home instead of catching the bus because i had to drop by the post office to pick up some goodies. I'm still waiting on two more parcels so i think i'll blog about them when those arrive too. The coming week feels like it's going to be busy. I volunteered to do the Red Shield Appeal doorknock with a few friends this year which is the coming Sunday, Monday i have my Legal Studies exam, Wednesday is the athletics carnival, Thursday i have an excursion to a Legal Studies lecture in Hurstville and Friday is meant to be the English exam but i've heard from a few people that it might be postponed (not sure if that's true though). So yeah, next week sounds like a busy week. I'm aiming to snap lots of photos at the athletics carnival! I hope the weather is nice.

Edit: I forgot to talk about Roland Garros! It's already been a few days into the tournament and i already had a scare because Rafa wasn't playing very well in his first match against Isner. I really thought that he might lose (even though it was only the first round) and due to the time differences i couldn't stay up to watch the whole match since i had school, but i was relieved to see when i woke up the next day, that he managed to win after five sets. To be honest, even though he's playing on clay, i think that Djokovic has a very high chance in winning the tournament this year as he's been playing very well );

I have a sudden cake craving. Someone bring me some caramel cheesecake ):

excitement-lacking

I was in the city today and decided to drop by at Zara to see if they had any new stock and i wasn't surprised to see that they did. However, i failed to find anything to buy and was rather disappointed yet again. I was kind of hoping to find a white lace dress i saw on their website but unfortunately i couldn't find it at the store. There's still heaps of people there and it's as if there's a closing down sale or something. I don't see why everyone seems so rushed when Zara will still be there tomorrow, the day after, and weeks later. I bet all the stores in the area are dead jealous. I read that in the first week the Sydney store made $3 million in sales. Anyway, i've had a rather plain weekend. I wish i could say that i did something exciting for once.

I want to watch Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides ); Johnny Depp is too hilarious.

Busy

I feel like i haven't blogged in a while when in fact it's only been two days. Anyway, i haven't been up to much really. I received my mid-year report on Tuesday and even though i already knew all my marks (because i calculated them) and all my ranks except for English, i was still pretty disappointed in myself after i saw the marks on paper. What's even more depressing is that my Legal Studies teacher wrote that she was disappointed that my mark and rank dropped )'; I really hope i'm able to redeem myself *sigh*.

Yesterday i went to the Chartered Accountants Cadetship Evening at the Sydney Convention Centre in Darling Harbour straight after school. I wasn't planning to attend at first but then i changed my mind and i'm really glad that i did end up going. There were so many year 12 students there and it was a little suffocating but i still think it was worth it. Mwahaha good thing i wore my black oxford heels so less people were stealing my air, though my feet were kind of burning by the end of the night from so much standing. In case you're thinking that it doesn't make sense, i changed out of my uniform. The sessions to hear the speakers were split in two and some people (including us) were trading sheets with random people so they could be together with their friends. My friends and i were in the second session so we had to go to the display room first with all the stalls from numerous firms and staff to answer any questions. Some people were genuinely interested but others were just snagging freebies haha. I had a coat because i thought it'd be really cold during the night but i ended up holding it (with my arm like a butler) for most of the night because it wasn't even cold and along with all the booklets i had collected, i felt like my arm was going to fall off. It actually still hurts now. After sitting down to listen to the speakers we went for food and by the time i got home it was past 9. I was so exhausted i went to sleep at 11 (quite early for me, especially since i've been sleeping at around 1:30 lately).

After attending the Cadetship Evening, i'm a lot more interested in applying for cadetships but to be honest, i don't think that they'd accept me since i don't really have much of what they're looking for as of now. E.g. participation at school and in the community, leadership skills, work experience, adequate marks etc. I'm thinking about applying next year instead since they also accept first year university students for cadeships/trainee programs. Maybe i'll be more worthy by then *laughs*. Getting accepted by PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers), Ernst & Young or KPMG would be a dream come true.

Exams are looming close again. It feels all too soon );
Hehe i have so many things to wait for in the mail. I wish they could all magically appear on my doorstep tomorrow morning.

Family lunch

Today was quite a nice day. We went over to my cousins' house to eat lunch. I haven't seen them in so long that i can't even remember the last time i saw them . They're both younger than me, the girl is 15 and the boy is 13. He's grown so much taller and his voice is a lot deeper now. Haha i found it rather amusing. They're also both so much more Asian now (they're halfies) and have been sucked into the hallyu wave :3 I remember we use to be so close when we were kids, watching Cartoon Network and Disney channel together, and going to the park to play. It's rather sad how time makes people grow apart. Their dog seems to like me so much more than my own dog D: She kept sitting on my lap when i was on the sofa. My dog doesn't stick to me merely as much. He's so grumpy!

Nostalgia

When listening to this piece i think of old ruins. It sounds like the type of piece you'd find in Final Fantasy X, or maybe it's just me.

Winter came early

It's been awfully cold lately even though it's not even Winter yet. It makes me wonder how i survived all those previous years with just a jumper. Today i wore a scarf with my jersey on top of my jumper and i still froze. Apparently tomorrow's minimum temperature will be even lower than today's )'; I really should get some mini heat packs for my hands, but then again i can't exactly hold them whilst standing on the bus in the morning.

I find it rather illogical how it seems that we bludge more in class now than we did in junior years. All my classes seem so unproductive it makes me feel like i'm wasting so much time. In Maths we're so slow and still have a billion chapters to get through. In Japanese we're this close to finishing the course so i find class pretty boring and useless. I wish i didn't have to go, especially since i don't have anyone to talk to after my friend dropped it. I don't like being put with other people to do speaking exercises ): In Legal Studies i feel like we aren't learning anything at all and to be honest, i really don't like the teaching style of our new teacher. I guess English and Economics are okay but i still don't think class is very productive. So yeah, i find it so ironic that we're meant to be studying like crazy this year and yet class hasn't been more unproductive.

My blog is back to dying a slow and painful death ); I wish i had more interesting things to talk about but since i go to school five days a week, there isn't really much to share (sadly).

Hehe got our school photos today. I think they actually turned out quite nice for once :D The normal one is boring so i didn't bother scanning it.

Hello again

Wow, it's already Friday tomorrow (I hate how i think about that awful song by Rebecca Black every time i say Friday). It really does seem like time is flying by extra quickly now and i remember back in the days i use to think that a school year lasted so very long and yet now it feels so short. Haha i'm talking like i'm really old or something D; I don't really feel like blogging right now so to sum it all up i still haven't been able to sleep very well lately and some family issues have given me even more things to think about on top of the stress i already have *sigh*. We did however, get our jerseys (yay), but mine is quite baggy on me. I was going to get the youth size but the sleeves were too short on me for my liking so ended up getting the XS and it's so long and wide. I apparently look like i'm wearing a guy's shirt .__. Oh well, now i can flaunt my superiority to the juniors, many of whom i dislike. Some of them are so obnoxiously disrespectful, and not to mention extremely noisy. Haha i'm so evil *grins*.

I've recently been addicted to miss A's Love Alone.

Always Be Here - Sungha Jung

Weekend

Hm, i haven't been up to much really. I finally got back my Legal exam results on Friday and i guess i did okay, but i'm not anywhere near satisfied. I blame the second essay question because i don't think anyone was expecting it to be on the chapter that it was on and i hadn't prepared any cases, legislation, media articles or documents for that chapter. I also suck at m/c .___. I think i prefer short answers over it, strangely. I'm going to be slaughtered by my brother when he sees my report *sigh*. Besides English, which i've improved in and Japanese which i've maintained, i've pretty much dropped in all my other subjects. This is so depressing )';

Also got a haircut today and i'm kind of regretting that i got so much cut off. I mean it was really long but it's now around 5-6 cm shorter D: Now i'll be waiting for it to grow.

Oh, and i think i decided that i'm going to buy a long dress after all.
