Ups and downs

Today was good and bad. We got back our Legal Studies exam results and I'm super happy with mine. I heard that the teacher marked really hard and was so scared to look at my mark, but alas, I was grinning afterwards. The average is so low though :| On the down side, my Maths class got back 4/6 questions and haha, i'm nowhere near happy with my mark. Apparently Q3 killed everyone. Funny how I only go to tutor for Maths and so you'd expect my marks to be decent, and yet I'm doing better in everything else. *Sigh* I'm really not up for school tomorrow since it's the last day and we probably won't be doing much, but we're apparently getting back English marks so I guess I have to go )';

Bento for lunch today :D It was so filling. Excuse the bad quality photo taken from my phone.

Didn't really like the song at first but now it's stuck in my head. The MV is so cute.

Currently writing my pen pal letter because it's due in tomorrow and I completely and utterly forgot about it. It's so hard to write a good reply when there are so many things that I want to say but have yet to learn. It's rather frustrating actually.

P.S. Could you guys please refrain (if possible) from using "guest" in the comment box? It's a little hard for me to determine who's who if multiple people use "guest". You don't have to use your name, anything is fine. I hope I'm not asking too much.

To-do-list

I feel so guilty because holidays are only two weeks long and I already have a whole list of things to do (that require me to leave the house and thus, not study).

1. Watch Harry Potter
2. Go to SMASH (on the 16th)
3. Watch Transformers. I probably won't even have time for this *sad*
4. Have a picnic in the park, though a friend of mine reminded me that because it's Winter, the grass will probably be wet. She said "You want to have a picnic in Winter?!" *even more sad*
5. Possibly a dinner for a friend's birthday
6. Maths tutor on Tuesdays
7. Go to the optometrist! If you've been following my posts then you'd know that I posted that I would do this last holidays. Guess what? I never ended up going....
8. Go get my abdominal ultrasound (every time I type or say the word "ultrasound", I think of pregnant women haha). I had to reschedule after the machine apparently broke down last time.

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

and of course there's the whole list of school stuff I have to do

9. English speech for Julius Caesar (Bleh, not a fan of Shakespeare) + revise previous modules
10. Finish Family Law notes for Legal Studies if I haven't already + revise 11 chapters
11. Practice listening, writing and speaking skills for Japanese
12. Revise 15, maybe 16 chapters for Economics
13. Revise (unknown number) of topics for Maths and Ext
14. Do past HSC papers );

and some other things like

15. Learn a piano piece
16. Learn how to put on a yukata and decide how I'm going to do my hair

So much to do. So little time!

X-Men

I'm so delayed but I finally watched X-Men: First Class after school today! It was better than I expected it to be and I think I enjoyed it so much more than the other X-Men movies. Next on my to watch list is Transformers and of course Harry Potter. I really don't know why but I feel like having a picnic at the park with a few friends. I think it would be quite enjoyable, though I do wish it wasn't winter because it gets dark awfully early. Hehe maybe I shall plan one in the holidays. *Already starts planning food to make* I'm also missing my piano so much. I really haven't played on it in a very long time but I found a song I want to learn so hopefully I'll play it soon. I bet my skills, or shall I say, lack of skills, are super rusty now. Perhaps I'll record myself... one day. It's really hard to play without a single mistake though. Well, for me (because I suck).

Quote of the day (Talking to my friend Christine about her outfit for a dinner)

Me: So what type of dress did you wear? *anxious to know because she never wears dresses*
Christine: A one-piece?

Haha it was so hilarious.

Hello

I had a rather uneventful weekend, I can't even remember what I did yesterday *memory loss*. I was contemplating on going to the Careers Expo at the Sydney Showgrounds but I heard that it was pretty useless so I didn't end up going. I typed up some notes for Legal Studies and that's about it. Oh, and I watched some Wimbledon. Wow, my lack of productivity never ceases to amaze me, and to think that I have trials early next term. I'm so screwed. Today I went out to get my fringe trimmed because it's grown out quite a bit, bought some waffles (I had a waffle craving the other day), shopped around a little but couldn't find anything nice (I seem to be addicted to online shopping. P.S ASOS is having a Summer sale at the moment! Though I hate how the things I want never seem to be on sale), and returned home with the most awful headache ever. I'm not even sure why I'm so prone to headaches. I probably get one every other day or something along those lines. *Sigh* it's still lingering right now.

I'm so glad that it'll be holidays in one more week. I'm hating all my classes right now. If only I didn't have the trials to worry about );

Oh, just to inform you guys (not that I have many readers) but I'm going to change my blog url some time soon to its-rainingstars.blogspot.com so if my blog doesn't work, it'll be because i changed it. Or i guess i might make a blog for my current url to redirect people, hm.. If you follow my blog, you'll have to follow me again at my new url. Whoops, I just realised that I forgot to take a photo of my outfit. Sorry to the guest that asked me to post photos.

I'm a little addicted to Anata ga Tonari ni Iru Dake de by NEWS right now, though it's an old song. I haven't listened to a song by them in ages (use to love them). Funny how much JPOP differs from KPOP.

Supanova 2011

I've never been to Supanova before but I decided to go this year, mainly because I wanted to see Tom Felton haha. I really wanted to take a photo with him or get his autograph but photos were $40 and autographs were $30. Even though I'm a Harry Potter fan, I really didn't think it was worth it (and I kind of have a whole list of things I want to buy off ASOS) so no photo or autograph for me ); Well at least I got to see him in real life, though from a distance. I have to say that he was so much cuter as a kid (in the first and second films). Even though Supanova is so much more western, It was still fun. I'm really looking forward to SMASH next month hehe.

Bruno Mars - Talking to the Moon (cover)

Another uneventful week

I haven't really been in the mood to blog for the past few days. Hm, what did I get up to? Nothing much really. I ended up skipping school after all on Wednesday because I woke up feeling extremely drained. Sometimes I think I get spoiled too much because I'm really allowed to skip school when I want to. On Thursday i had to trek over to Hurstville for the Economics lecture. It turned out better than the Legal Studies one but it kind of went downhill near the end and i just wanted to go home after sitting in the hall for so long. I had my last exam for the term on Friday (2U Maths) and it was fairly basic but there was one question that was so stupid (many people would agree with me), and that stupid question was worth quite a lot of marks so I'm pretty devastated. I don't see why anyone would put so many marks on a question like that. The fact that the exam isn't out of many marks means that one mark costs a lot ); I also heard that only one person got 24/25 for the Legal Studies exam, another got 23 and a couple got 21. I'm really worried about my mark because the teacher apparently marked pretty hard *sigh*. I guess I'll find out whether or not I'm doomed on Monday when I get my results. Oh, and i received a notice that my HSC Japanese speaking exam will be held at Birrong Girls High. I wish it was some place closer.

I've been so unproductive today. I woke up rather late because I slept at 2:30 am last night and spent the rest of the day watching Lie to Me. I feel so guilty, especially since I'm going out tomorrow and won't get much work done. Ahh, I should stop blogging about school. I bet I'm boring you guys to death.

Currently loving this song from the Lie to Me OST: This is Really Goodbye - M to M

Worse. Day. Ever

Seeing as I had 3 exams today, my day was already worse enough, but it only got worse after school when the clouds decided to suddenly dump torrential rain from the sky and the wind decided to blow it all onto my uniform whilst I was walking down to the station with my friend. My jersey was wet, the front of my skirt was soaking, my shoes and stockings were dripping, and I froze when the wind blew against my wet clothes. Not only did I get soaked in the rain, I then had to wade through a tunnel with water gushing from the drains and waited 20 minutes for the bus in the freezing cold in my wet clothes. I was so miserable I just wanted to cry ); In case you're wondering, I did actually have an umbrella but it was rendered useless against the pouring rain.

I was originally going to skip school tomorrow to get an abdominal ultrasound (I get really awful stomach pain that comes and goes), but I got a call from the centre saying that the machine broke down (nice timing right?) and so I have to go to school after all. Urgh, I don't think my uniform is even going to dry in time.

No words can describe how much I hate this weather.

A little retail therapy might've cheered me up a little but the dress I was planning to buy off ASOS increased back up the original price. I didn't know when the sale would end and now I'm unwilling to buy it for that price even though I really love it. I guess now I'll just have to wait and see if it goes on sale again later on *sigh*.

Kim Yuna's Kiss & Cry

I started watching Kim Yuna's Kiss & Cry the other day and i'm really loving it. Sadly there are only English subs for the first episode at the moment, but i watched the second episode without subs anyway. I was never really particularly interested in watching figure skating but this show is loveeee, or maybe it's just me, since it apparently has low ratings )'; So basically 10 stars learnt figure skating in about 2 months and are teamed up with 10 actual figure skaters to do performances. Hehe IU and Yunho are on it. There's this little boy (11) on the show who i find so adorable! I found this video of one of his performances:

BusyBusyBusy

Sorry about not blogging for the past few days, i've been rather busy with school work. Nothing much has been happening really. I got back my Economics stimulus exam mark and i'm very happy with it :D Too bad it only weighs 10% though. Other than that, i've spent the last few days doing my Economics essay for my exam tomorrow. I just about finished memorising it (we ended up getting the question this time, although it's still an in-class exam so it's pretty much all about preparing one and memorising it) but i haven't exactly timed myself yet :| Usually i'd be pretty sure that i can write the amount of words i have but i realised that this exam is 5 minutes shorter than the amount of time we've been getting previously ); I'd like to say that i'm looking forward to the 3 day weekend but unfortunately i'll be drowning in English, Maths and possibly Japanese because i have all three exams next Tuesday. I probably won't end up studying for Japanese much though, English and Maths have way more priority in my list.

Off to time my essay now, bye bye.

My not so eventful day

I don't remember the last time i was so dead during school. I stayed up last night to watch the Roland Garros final but gave up when it was 5-5 during the second set because i was just too tired. I think it was around 1:30 am, which technically isn't that late because i sometimes sleep at that time :| I was pretty surprised at how well Federer was playing because i haven't seen him play that well in quite a while, but Nadal won in the end (7-5 7-6 5-7 6-1), yay! I was kind of expecting Djokovic to be in the final with Nadal but i guess he wasn't good enough to beat Federer, despite playing extremely well lately. Even though i was so tired by the time i gave up on tennis, i couldn't even fall asleep, or maybe it was because i put on my contacts really early and was wearing them when i wasn't even sleeping yet (which kind of makes my eyes uncomfortable).

Well whatever the reason, i was super drained at school and my left eye kept stinging. I went to ask for eye drops from the first aid and the lady gave me some unknown solution to rinse out my eye ( i think it was saline). I really should put some eye drops in my bag but i keep forgetting ); And then i started feeling rather stressed about the Economics exam even though it was only on two rather small topics. Thank god it turned out pretty simple though, and i wouldn't be surprised if a number of people get full marks. Now i have to prepare for my exam on Friday *sigh*.

Skin and haircare haul

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

A few weeks back i was watching one of Fuzkittie's youtube videos and i kind of had a sudden realisation that i've been taking my generally clear skin for granted by not really taking care of it, so then i kind of went on a rampage and bought some things. Unfortunately my skin hasn't been that great lately, probably due to lack of sleep and stress. I also still haven't been able to find a product that successfully removes the ugly blackheads on my nose. I hate blackheads so much *angryface*. A lot of people have claimed that Biore pore strips work really well for them and i wouldn't even mind buying them frequently but they don't even work for me at all! It's not fair )'; I haven't tried a lot of the products yet but if any of them turn out awesome i'll be sure to blog about them.

Products top row (left to right):

(Japanese brand) I've read a lot of great things about the Essential hair masks and have been meaning to try them for a while but they were out of stock on Sasa (A cosmetics chain store in Hong Kong) for quite a while. I find that a lot of their products are quite cheap compared to prices on Ebay and standard shipping to Australia is only $6. There is English on their site that is perfectly translated, except that on some of the products it says "exclusive of Hong Kong orders" which i thought meant that only Hong Kong customers can buy them, but in Chinese it actually says that they can't ship them to Hong Kong :S Other than that the English is fine. A lot of the popular products are often out of stock though, like the Fairy Drops Platinum Mascara which is only US $13.90. I also bought the shampoo and conditioner to try and they all smell so good :D

Note: don't rely on the "email me when stock comes in again" option because i find that it fails half the time.

(Taiwanese brand) Fuzkitte said that the blackhead remover is an amazing product and recommended it to anyone, even if you don't get breakouts.

(Taiwanese brand) Bought these because i have dark circles and eye bags, especially when i smile. I hope i notice some difference after using them. I've only used them once so far.

Products bottom row (left to right):

(American brand?) A lot of people have claimed that this mask works really well so i decided to give it a try. It claims to "helps dry up acne pimples, rise away blackheads & shrink enlarged pores". It's actually green - old school style, and kind of smells like toothpaste haha.

(Taiwanese brand) My Beauty Diary is well known for their masks which are really popular. They smell so yummy and make my face feel so refreshed (; A nice treat for when you're feeling tired and stressed out.

Anyway, i really need to study now. I have two Economics exams next week, one on Monday and the other on Friday. I really want to watch the Roland Garros finals on Sunday night (Nadal vs Federer) but i don't think i should stay up late when i have an exam the next day. We'll see, maybe i can sleep for a bit during the evening so i can wake up and watch it :S I'm expecting a 5 set match so it'll probably take a while.

Lectures

The Legal Studies lectures were today and i had to wake up extra early (6:45) so i could get to Hurstville by 8:30. I said i was going to be in bed by 11:30 last night and i ended up sleeping at around 12:40 so i only got 6 hours of sleep (which is not enough for me) so i was rather sleepy during the first lecture. I ended up getting coffee afterwards at the "canteen" in the Civic Centre and not only did it taste awful but the girl working there didn't put the lid on properly and it dripped on my jersey which made me rather annoyed. Blergh, just talking about the coffee made the taste come back. All in short, i found the lecture pretty pointless as i didn't learn anything i didn't already know, besides some things about the Family option but i probably would've known those things if we had started it already. Now i kind of don't want to go to the Economics one which is at the same place but i already paid for it so i guess i have to go );

Did i mention that my English exam, Maths Ext exam and Japanese exam are all on the same day? I feel screwed.

Athletics carnival

Even though the weather was rather gloomy today, i had so much fun at the athletics carnival. It's so sad that it's our last one )'; I actually felt like running for once but i didn't have any sneakers or shorts so no running for me. My throat hurts, i think i yelled and screamed too much haha.
